Honda Odyssey Tires: Sizes, All-Season and Winter Tires

The lifespan of your Honda Odyssey tires will vary depending on how you drive and whether you are driving on summer, all-season, or winter tires, according to Kicking Tires. Driving with your Odyssey out of alignment will shorten the tires’ lifespan as well as driving on under-inflated tires. Kicking Tires estimates the life of a tire to be anywhere between 20,000 and 50,000 miles, however there is no set interval for when your Honda Odyssey tires will need to be replaced. Check out this list of potential replacement tires for your Honda Odyssey.

Sizes for Honda Odyssey Tires

Tire sizes vary between Odyssey trim levels and Honda advises sticking to the Odyssey’s original tire size. “Honda vehicles meet all applicable Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards when they are originally distributed, and modification could affect the safety and/or operation of the vehicle, as well as remove it from compliance with specifications and standards mandated by the Federal Government,” according to Honda.

The original equipment tires that Honda uses can come from any of eight dealers. These dealers include: Firestone, Continental, General Tire, Goodyear, Bridgestone, Yokohama, Dunlop, or Michelin.

All-Season Tires

The Bridgestone Ecopia EP422 improves rolling resistance, which improves gas mileage. The tire is also made with recycled ground rubber.

  • Goodyear’s Assurance TripleTred All-Season tire has wet and dry zones to improve handling on dry roads and to sweep away water in wet conditions.
  • The Yokohama AVID Touring-S tire offers smooth handling and durability. Cross-traction sipes improve handling in wet conditions. Extra sipes and variable tread block sizes on the tire’s shoulder keep road noise low. Ride noise and comfort is improved with a twin rail stability rib.
  • Dunlop’s Signature CS tire uses VersaLoad technology for improved ride comfort and consistent handling. Ride noise is lessened thanks to Multi-Pitch Thread Design technology. Evaqua Grooves remove water from the tire’s tread. This tire only fits 18-inch rims on the Touring and Touring Elite models.
  • The Michelin Primacy MXV4 tire comes standard on many new Odysseys. The tire has several biting edges that offer excellent grip in the rain. Michelin’s Comfort Control Technology reduces vibrations and road noise to provide a smooth, quiet ride.
  • The Firestone Precision Touring tire offers a quiet, fuel efficient ride. The tire’s wide footprint improves handling and silica improves traction. Circumferential grooves help channel water away from the tire’s tread.
  • General Tire’s Altimax RT43 tire utilizes peak anti-slip design technology for increased traction on wet roads. The tires also provide a quiet, comfortable ride.
  • Continental’s CrossContact LX20 tire improves fuel efficiency by reducing rolling resistance. Braking in wet conditions is improved with sliane. A quiet, comfortable ride is possible thanks to smooth response technology.
  • The Bridgestone Ecopia EP 422 tire improves your Odyssey’s fuel efficiency while offering a quiet ride. Rolling resistance is improved thanks to nanopro-tech and a fuel saver sidewall compound. Lower rolling resistances help fuel economy. Silica improves traction in wet conditions. This tire is also made with ground-up, post consumer tires.

Winter Tires

Even though all-season tires can handle wet conditions, winter tires have better traction and handling on snowy roads. They also perform better at temperatures below 45 degrees.

The Yokohama iceGUARD iG51v tire is made to provide improved performance in snowy and icy conditions.

  • Goodyear’s Ultra Grip Ice WRT tire has 3-D TreadLock technology that enhances traction on snowy and wet roads, while offering cornering stability. Center-zone, 2-D blades help with starting and stopping power on snow and ice. There is also a rim protector to guard against curb damage.
  • The Yokohama iceGUARD iG51v tire offers optimum handling and traction on snowy roads. It has a reasonable noise and comfort rating.
  • The Dunlop Grandtrek SJ6 tire has zigzag grooves in the center of the tire to provide traction and braking performance in snowy conditions. Grip on ice is improved thanks to a glass fiber-reinforced tread.
  • Michelin’s Latitude X-Ice Xi2 tire has a FleX-Ice compound that helps it maintain flexibility in cold temperatures. Cross Z Sipe technology provides excellent traction in winter conditions. The tire also provides a smooth, quiet ride with the help of Comfort Control Technology that reduces vibration and road noise.
  • Continental’s ExtremeWinterContact tire reduces the braking distances in snow and ice due to high sipe density. Handling in dry and wet conditions is improved thanks to compact outside treads with elevated lateral grooves.
  • The Bridgestone Blizzak DM-V1 tire offers advanced performance in icy and snowy conditions. RC polymer improves snow and ice performance. Traction in wet conditions is improved due to 3-D sipes.
  • The Firestone Winterforce UV tire has a directional tread pattern that optimizes performance in wet and dry conditions. High-sipe density improves traction in snowy conditions.
  • General Tire’s Altimax Arctic tire has an integrated, multi-angle 3-D sipe system that maximizes traction. An all-weather dual tread compound keeps the tire flexible in cold temperatures
