Honda Crosstour Tires: Sizes, All-Season and Winter Tires

The lifespan of your Honda Crosstour tires varies depending on how you drive and whether you are driving on all-season, summer, or winter tires, according to Kicking Tires. Driving with your Crosstour out of alignment will shorten the tires’ lifespan as well as driving on under-inflated tires. Kicking Tires estimates the life of a tire to be anywhere between 20,000 and 50,000 miles, however there is no set interval for when the tires on your Crosstour will need to be replaced. Check out this list of tires that Honda equips their vehicles with to keep in mind for when it’s time for new tires.

Sizes for Honda Crosstour Tires

Tire sizes vary between Crosstour trim levels. Honda advises sticking to the Crosstour’s original tire size. “Honda vehicles meet all applicable Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards when they are originally distributed, and modification could affect the safety and/or operation of the vehicle, as well as remove it from compliance with specifications and standards mandated by the Federal Government,” according to Honda.

All-Season Tires

Honda Crosstour Tires

The Bridgestone Ecopia EP422 improves rolling resistance, which improves gas mileage. The tire is also made with recycled ground rubber.

  • The Bridgestone Turanza EL 400-02 tire offers a quiet and comfortable ride while having improved traction in wet conditions and increased handling in wet and dry conditions. The Ecopia EP422 tire maximizes gas mileage with improved rolling resistance and a fuel-saver sidewall compound. The tires are made of recycled ground rubber and offer a quiet ride.
  • Firestone Precision Touring tires offer a fuel efficient, quiet ride. Silica increases the flexibility of the tread compound allowing for improved traction.
  • The Continental CrossContact LX20 tire offers a quiet, comfortable ride. Fuel efficiency is improved due to a lower rolling resistance.
  • General Tire’s Altimax RT43 tire has a peak anti-slip design that improves traction on slick roads. The tires also provide a quiet and comfortable ride.
  • The Goodyear Integrity tire is made of a compound that helps deliver good traction and a quiet ride.
  • Dunlop Signature CS tires reduce road noise, and offer a smooth ride at highway speeds. Evaqua Grooves help direct water away from the tires.
  • The Michelin Defender tire reduces braking distance and improves acceleration, braking, and cornering by maximizing tread-to-road contact.
  • Yokohama AVID Ascend tires provide a quiet ride through a multi-pitch tread design. An optimized tread profile helps enhance rolling resistance.

Winter Tires

Even though all-season tires can handle wet conditions, winter tires perform better in temperatures below 45 degrees.

Honda Crosstour Tires

The Goodyear Ultra Grip Ice WRT tire has a specialized tread to enhance traction on icy and snowy roads.

  • Bridgestone Blizzak DM-V1 tires perform well in snowy and icy conditions due to a NanPro-Tech rubber compound. Traction is improved due to a center multi-Z pattern on the tire.
  • The Continental ExtremeWinterContact tires provide reduced braking distances on snow and ice. Inclined grooves direct water away from the tire thus helping to prevent hydroplaning.
  • Goodyear Ultra Grip Ice WRT tires have a specialized tread that enhances traction on icy and snowy roads. Stopping and accelerating on ice is improved and cornering is enhanced due to 3-D TredLock technology.
  • Dunlop Grandtrek SJ6 tires have zigzag grooves that improve traction and braking on snowy roads. Grip on ice is improved with the help of a glass fiber-reinforced tread.
  • The Yokohama iceGUARD iG51v tire performs well in slush, snow, and on ice. It provides middle-of-the-road noise and comfort performance.
  • General Tire’s Altimax Arctic tire has an integrated, multi-angle 3-D sipe system that maximizes traction and an all-weather, dual tread compound keeps the tire flexible in cold temperatures.
  • Firestone’s Winterforce tire has a directional tread pattern that optimizes performance in wet and dry conditions. High-sipe density and a 3-D tread pattern improve traction on ice and in wet conditions. This tire only fits Crosstours with 18-inch rims, so the V-6 models.
  • The Michelin X-Ice Xi3 tire has a shorter stopping distance than all-season tires on ice. Performance on ice and snow is improved due to tread blocks. Cross Z sipes improve handling and traction on the ice and snow. This tire only fits the V-6 Crosstour models.
